Overview

The VFR750R, known by its RC30 factory code, was built in limited numbers to homologate Honda's World Superbike challenger. Gear-driven cams, titanium con-rods, a single-sided swingarm and close-ratio gearbox gave it a specification road motorcycles simply did not have in 1989.

History & provenance

Three recorded owners from new with continuous documentation. Ownership chain available to view by appointment.

Condition

Very good order throughout, with the honest patina appropriate to a modest mileage covered over three decades.

Mechanical

Runs and rides correctly. Recent recommissioning including fluids, brake overhaul and carburettor service.

Originality

Original bodywork, wheels and HRC seat unit

Documentation

V5C, historic invoices, original owner's manual and tool kit.

What makes this example interesting

UK supply, modest mileage and unbroken documentation — an increasingly difficult combination to find in one RC30.
