Workshop & restoration

One bike at a time.
Done properly.

Servicing, recommissioning and restoration for collectible motorcycles — carried out by our own team, or placed with the best specialist and managed by us throughout.

The approach

Not a service queue. A bench of one.

Most workshops work through a queue. We work on one motorcycle at a time. That is a deliberate choice: a collectible machine — a homologation special, a low-mileage original, a race bike with a history — should never be one of six jobs on the lift.

Our team is led by an ex-Suzuki race team mechanic with forty years’ experience, spanning race paddocks and the kind of work that only comes from having had these motorcycles apart many times before. Routine servicing and recommissioning are carried out here, in-house, by people who understand what originality is worth and what should never be touched.

Where a job deserves a particular specialist — an engine builder, a machinist, a painter, a plater or a trimmer — we do not pretend to be all things. We use the best specialist for that work, and we manage it for you from start to finish: correct specification, sensible decisions, one point of contact, and a motorcycle that comes back right.

The same applies whether the motorcycle lives in storage with us, is being prepared for sale, or simply visits for a season’s preparation.

Every job starts with a proper assessment and a conversation. We will tell you what a motorcycle needs, what it does not, and what we would leave alone — then agree the work before a spanner is turned.

Experience

Forty years of race-bred discipline.

Our workshop is led by a mechanic who spent years inside a Suzuki race team — where bikes are stripped, set up and rebuilt to tolerances that leave no margin for “nearly right”. Forty years on, that discipline is applied to everything that passes through our workshop, from a Grand Prix replica’s running gear to a collector’s unrestored original.

It is also why track and race bikes are in safe hands here: prepared, set up and delivered to the Oulton Park paddock ready for the session.

Work undertaken

Servicing & recommissioning

Routine servicing, fluid changes, carburettor balancing and brake work — carried out to the standard a collectible motorcycle deserves, not a fast-fit one.

Restoration

From sympathetic preservation to full restoration, agreed with the owner first. Originality is respected; we would rather keep an honest machine honest.

Race & track preparation

Preparation, setup and between-event fettling for track and race bikes — the same hands that see them delivered to the Oulton Park paddock.

Engine & specialist work

Engine builds, machining, paint, plating and trim are placed with the best specialist for the job — and managed by us from start to finish.

Pre-sale preparation

A motorcycle entering our sales programme is inspected, prepared and presented properly, with remedial work agreed before it is marketed.

Valeting & detailing

Careful, appropriate cleaning and detailing — never aggressive machine polishing over original paint.
