The idea
Oulton Moto Store is a specialist home for collectible motorcycles from 1974 onwards.
We have a particular interest in the Japanese and Italian motorcycles that defined an era — homologation specials, race-bred road bikes, limited-production machines and exceptional examples with the right history, condition and provenance.
From buying and selling to sourcing, secure storage and long-term collection care, our aim is simple: to look after important motorcycles properly.

Concierge storage & collection care
Classics, race bikes and important modern collectibles, kept in a private heated and dehumidified facility in the Cheshire countryside — this is not container storage, and it is not a warehouse. Every machine is managed as part of a collection, with a care routine agreed with its owner.
Many of our clients keep motorcycles with us from further afield and fly in to ride. Some arrive by helicopter — there is space to land on site, and one client does exactly that. Track and race bikes are a particular speciality: stored between events and delivered straight to the Oulton Park paddock, prepared and ready for the session. Valeting, mechanical work and preparation are handled here — or, for anything that deserves a particular specialist, placed with the right workshop and managed by us from start to finish. Whether a motorcycle is with us for the winter or being prepared for sale, it leaves ready to ride — or ready for the track.
Concierge storage from £125 per month · Fully insured · Access seven days a week by arrangement
Availability & pricing
Spaces are limited and allocated to whole collections rather than single machines where possible. Tell us a little about your motorcycle — or collection — and we will come back with availability, pricing and the care plan we would propose.
Concierge storage from £125 per month. Every enquiry is answered personally, in confidence.

Honda. Yamaha. Suzuki. Kawasaki.
From the superbike homologation wars to the machines that redefined what a road-going sports motorcycle could be, Japan produced some of the most important performance motorcycles of the modern era.

Ducati. Bimota. MV Agusta. Aprilia.
Engineering, racing and design combined to create motorcycles that became as desirable standing still as they were at speed.

Sales agency
Selling an important motorcycle deserves more than uploading an advert.
Oulton offers a managed sales service for collectible and specialist motorcycles. We can handle presentation, photography, research, advertising, enquiries, viewings, negotiation, payment and handover while the motorcycle remains securely stored with us.
Where appropriate, we can also market significant motorcycles discreetly to collectors before offering them publicly.
Sourcing
RC30. OW01. 916 SPS. GSX-R750R. A period race bike with documented history.
Some motorcycles rarely reach the open market.
Tell us what you are looking for and Oulton can search our network, upcoming auctions, private sellers and specialist sources on your behalf.
Our era
Every collection needs a starting point.
Ours is 1974.
It is personal rather than academic: the year our founder was born and the beginning of the era of motorcycles we grew up watching, wanting and eventually owning.
Over the decades that followed, motorcycle engineering changed dramatically. Japan transformed performance and reliability. Italy combined racing technology with extraordinary design. Superbike racing created road-going homologation specials. Two-strokes reached their peak. The modern superbike emerged.
Those are the motorcycles Oulton Moto Store exists for.

Competition
Many of the motorcycles we are most interested in exist because somebody wanted to win.
Grand Prix. TT. World Superbikes. Endurance. National racing.
That connection between competition machinery and the road-going motorcycles it created sits at the heart of the Oulton collection.
We are particularly interested in genuine competition motorcycles and machines with documented racing provenance.
Sold
Motorcycles we have handled remain on record. The archive is a history of the machines that have passed through Oulton.
