Goodwood Revival 2025: three days in period
A report from the Revival — the motorcycle races, the paddock theatre, and the machines and people that make it the best-dressed event in the calendar.
The Revival is the one event where preparation extends to what you wear as much as what you arrive in. As members of the Goodwood Supporters' Association we make the trip south most years, and 2025 was as good as we can remember — three days of period dress, remarkable machinery and racing that is anything but gentle.
The two-wheeled racing is always the draw for us. Watching Manx Nortons and early superbikes being ridden properly, hard, on a circuit that rewards commitment, is a reminder that these motorcycles were engineered to be raced, not just admired.
Beyond the track, the paddock is where the real conversations happen. We caught up with owners, restorers and specialists from across the country — the network behind much of the work we manage for clients' machines. If you have not been, go. Take the dress code seriously.
