Riding our home roads: Cheshire lanes and North Wales

Not every ride needs a ferry. Some of the best days of the year happen within an hour of the store — out across the Cheshire Plain, along the lanes near Eaton and Tarporley, and on towards the Welsh borders as the roads begin to climb and empty.

It is the riding we use most for shakedown work. A motorcycle that pulls cleanly through these lanes, cold morning to warm afternoon, has told you most of what you need to know about it.

Clients visiting from further afield often underestimate this part of the country. They shouldn't. Base yourself here, ride Cheshire and Wales by day, and you begin to understand why we chose this particular stretch of countryside between Oulton Park and Tarporley.
